The site comprised the
large redundant overgrown gardens of properties in a late Victorian/Edwardian
are of Christchurch and the development represents an exemplar for sustainable
development in this popular area where land supply is very limited. The
scheme in terms of its layout, architectural style and materials seeks to
create a sense of place and community with a mix of houses and bungalows in
common with the housing mix in the surrounding area.
